Creating and Assigning Templates


A template in Issabel Contact Center is a set of permissions, groups, and plugins that can be assigned to users in a single step, thus facilitating user management quickly and efficiently. Templates allow defining predefined configurations that can be applied to multiple users without having to configure each parameter individually.

Definition and Purpose of templates

  • 1. Standardization of Configurations:
    • Templates allow defining standardized configurations that include permissions, groups, and plugins.
    • These templates can be quickly assigned to users, eliminating the need to configure each parameter manually.
  • 2. Automatic and Manual Assignment:
    • It is possible to mark a template as default. This ensures that any new user created automatically inherits the template, avoiding additional configurations.
    • They can also be manually assigned to specific users from the user menu.

Creating templates

To create a template, follow these steps:
  • 1. Access the Panel Manager: In the PBX administration interface, navigate to: Contact CenterPanel ManagerTemplates. It is also possible to access via the URL: https://domain_pbx/fop2/admin/, and access the templates menu.
  • 2. Define the template: Define the button groups you want to create. This includes selecting the buttons and functionalities that will be available to users assigned to the current group. Include the set of permissions and groups the user will have access to and the plugins they can use. These elements ensure that users have the necessary tools and access to perform their functions.
  • 3. Save the template: Save the template with a descriptive name that facilitates its identification and later use.

Assigning templates

Once the template is created, it can be easily assigned to users.
  • 1. Access the Panel Manager: In the PBX administration interface, navigate to: Contact CenterPanel Manager → Users. It is also possible to access via the URL: https://pbx_domain/fop2/admin/, and access the user menu.
  • 2. Select the User: Select the user to whom you want to assign the template.
  • 3. Assign the template: In the user configuration section, find the templates section and select the desired template. This will automatically apply all the permissions, groups, and plugins defined in the template to the selected user.
  • 4. Default Template: It is also possible to mark a template as default so that it is automatically assigned to newly created users. This ensures that all new users have a standard configuration without the need to configure them manually.

Benefits of using templates

  • Administrative Efficiency: Facilitates the initial setup and subsequent adjustments for large numbers of users.
  • Error Reduction: Minimizes the possibility of human errors when manually defining parameters for multiple users.
  • Consistency: Ensures that all users with similar roles have uniform configurations, reducing operational problems.
